![]() ![]() ![]() So you said you formatted you PC right? did you format ALL you HDDs/SSDs or only the one with windows installed?Ĭoz the game also could create hidden files on your computer, and every start the game is checking this hidden files and IF they exist -> ban flag. This coul be, and this would also be a evidence for something HWID related. If it does NOT work then it does server checks (without the steam API) HWID ban can only happen if the game connects online.ĭid you try to start the pirated version COMPLETLY offline? does this work? I deleted all registry as well and it still throws me an automatic ban. ![]() So I think Ninja WIki implemented some kind of HWID checker somewhere in the game. I reformatted it and used a pirated version and I still had 2 leaves on the cog wheel. I reformatted my pc and I was still banned. So yeah i hope this helps you to find out if its a local flag or your steam ID. Valve just says "every dev can see if you are banned in any game" and they give every dev access to your profil datas.i know why i hate steam.im mostly buying on GOG or Epic, fck steam! I once couldnt play dark souls 2 and recently SQUAD because of a VAC ban in my account - both games blocked me from playing coz of VAC Ban that is 10 Years ago in Counter Strike Source. If its the steam ID then there is nothing you can do about it, great steam right? I dont think its the cloud if you start a new game with deleted savesĬloud = loads a save from the server, this does not happen right? Start the game completly offline (in worst case you can use a steam emu) Well you should try to figure out if its a local flag or your steam ID. No matter how many times i delete saves it doesn't go away because of the cloud. It would be pointless to have a Sandbox ladder for things like races, but I feel it would be reasonable to have two ladders, one for vanilla/cosmetic mods, and one for Approved mods.Uhm i got a green leaf next to the settings icon for cheating. Some mods are certainly no different from cheating, but the vast majority of mods are just minor QoL or cosmetic changes, and it seems needlessly reductive to paint all modding as cheats just because some of them are. I feel like a similar approach would work well here. Verified mods continue normal saves, and you can play with anyone while using one the other people you're playing with wouldn't even know that you installed a mod that made you a Space Marine or whatever. These are mods that change nothing but cosmetics, and in a non-cheaty way. The most restrictive category is Verified, which basically just means cosmetic mods. Examples that they give is mods that add more challenging game modes, or add new features that the devs reviewed and agree that it's balanced. This continues to progress your regular save, but you can only play with other players using Approved mods. Next is Approved, which is mods that change the game in minor ways, but ways that the devs don't feel are cheating. You must have a separate save for Sandbox mods, and Sandbox players can only play with other Sandbox players. The most permissive category is Sandbox, which is what you'd expect anything allowed, this is where all mods that dramatically change the game go, including cheat mods. So as long as mods disable those 4 things its fine Deep Rock Galactic just went through this whole process, and what they settled on was having three categories of mods.
